The philosophy behind Secret Mission
01 The founding story
Born from the idea that an experience can be more than just entertainment.
It all began with a question: what if you could be not just there, but right in the middle of it?
Secret Mission was founded to make exactly that possible: escape games at exclusive locations, with trained actors and stories you will still remember years later. Not as an idea on request, but as a fully produced mission you can book like a cinema ticket.
No off-the-shelf puzzles. No passive watching. With us you become part of the plot: as an agent, as an investigator, as the one who is suddenly handed an envelope. Every mission is an interplay of theatre, real places and the unpredictability of human decisions. Yours.
There is a reason these stories sit so close to reality: part of what happens in a mission has already happened to someone on the team, on duty - in law enforcement, in the military, on operations that still cannot be talked about in full.
02 The people behind it
Real people on a secret mission.
We are not an agency that picked a theme. Three of us worked in state service, one brings the stage. Whatever may be told of it is in the missions - the rest stays where it is.

Alexander D.
Dr Holmes in the flesh - if you could ever get hold of him. Alex is what you would probably call a spy in a film. His years of experience have equipped Secret Mission with many a delicate detail where even we are often not sure: real or invented? What he has lived through is mirrored in the missions and turns them into a James Bond experience in real life.

Clemens K.
As a military and law enforcement officer, Clemens has seen a lot. He is not always allowed to tell us about it. The classified information from years of covert operations - which officially must not exist at all - brings the same kind of moments into our experiences as Alex does: the ones where you start to wonder whether the missions have more to do with reality than with a film or theatre script.

Michael S.
Arrests, daily business. Police work shaped not only his body but also his mindset. Nobody knows better than Michael how to not merely sort files but analyse them and solve cases. At Secret Mission he is the link between the pieces of evidence: out of many separate parts he assembles the whole that makes your result possible in the first place.

File 04 The quick-change artist
Florian Z.
A shrewd judge of people and a quick-change artist, Florian sees straight through them - and that does more than help solve the cases. His acting skill, paired with decades of applied experience from business and mental development, makes you forget that you are in a game. If you see our brand somewhere, he very probably had a hand in it - because information only becomes relevant once it actually reaches the player teams.
The portraits stay out of focus and the names are abbreviated. That is not coyness: part of these careers is still not public. Anyone who needs the full names will find them in the imprint.

No off-the-shelf puzzles
Every puzzle is written for its story. It never stands alone - it is the reason the plot moves on. A lock you could just as well open somewhere else has no place with us.

No passive watching
There is no stage, no curtain and no seat. You are not being entertained, you are investigating. And if your group decides differently than expected, the story still goes on.

People, not scenery
Up to three trained actors per mission, rehearsed on a script of over a hundred pages. Ask a question that is not in it and you will still get an answer. In character.

Corridors, cellars and back rooms in the heart of Vienna that you have walked past a hundred times. We rent them exclusively: as long as you are inside, they are yours alone.
