What actors change about an escape room
In a classic escape room, the room does the talking: through notes, loudspeakers and locks. At Secret Mission, people do. Professional actors play witnesses, suspects and opponents – and react live to every question, every suspicion and every mistake.
The puzzles stay: codes, locks, an app. But you also get clues in conversation – and you decide whom to trust. Several times your choices change the plot, right up to different endings.

Suspense yes, horror no. Nobody is touched, scared or put on the spot. The tension comes from the story and the clock, not from jump scares.

You don’t have to be an escape room fan. Secret Mission is also for anyone who has always wanted to be in a film – without learning lines: you stay yourselves, the actors play their roles, and Vienna is the set.

What is an escape room with actors?
An escape game where puzzles and locks are not all that awaits you – people do: at Secret Mission, professional actors play witnesses, suspects and opponents and react live to your team. You don’t play in a room but in Vienna’s city centre – the mission is called NOVEX-3.
Do I have to act?
No. You stay yourselves: ask, suspect, decide. The actors take on the roles – nobody needs acting experience.
Is it a horror escape room?
No. Suspense yes, horror no: nobody is touched, scared or put on the spot. The tension comes from the story and the clock, not from jump scares.
How is it different from a normal escape room?
Puzzles, codes and teamwork are just like in an escape room. But instead of a room you move through Vienna’s city centre, and instead of loudspeakers, people answer.
Do the actors help if we get stuck?
Yes – subtly and in character. The difficulty is 3 out of 5, and you don’t need escape room experience.
Is the escape room with actors available in English?
Yes. Missions are played in English or German – you choose the language when booking.
How many people can play?
1 to 6 people per team; larger groups play as several teams. If you don’t book every seat at a time, others can join – with a private session you keep it to yourselves.
How long does it take?
60 to 90 minutes of play, about two hours with the briefing. You walk around two to three kilometres.
What is the minimum age?
From 14. Between 14 and 16 only with an adult in the team.

In Vienna’s city centre: the meeting point is St. Peter’s Church (Peterskirche) in the 1st district. The exact details are in the booking confirmation.
