Team building they’ll still be talking about in spring.

Instead of a seminar room, a criminal case in the heart of Vienna: real actors, real locations, 60 to 90 minutes against the clock. One team of six, or two teams of twelve people in total. On request, a psychologist comes along and afterwards writes down for every participant what he saw.

Why a case does more than a lecture.

Team building usually fails because everyone knows it is team building. Here, nobody thinks about that after ten minutes: there is a body, a stolen substance and a clock that is running. Working together gets you further - and nobody has to explain why.

01

The team is what counts

Nobody solves the case alone. The clues are scattered, time is short, and whoever stays silent loses leads. The person who says little in meetings often has the decisive idea here.

02

Nobody needs any skills

No prior knowledge, no technology, no dressing up, no acting. Anyone who can walk through the city and talk to people can play - from apprentice to management.

03

You have it to yourselves

You never play with strangers. Actors, locations and time slot belong to your team alone that day.

04

Something to talk about for months

A seminar hotel is forgotten within two weeks. Anyone who has once collected an envelope in a backyard still tells the story come spring.

Six people - or six against six.

Both formats play the same mission, Novex-3. The difference is whether your team takes on the case - or two teams take on each other.

Mission Novex-3

Six people, one case, 60 to 90 minutes right across the city centre.

A murder, a stolen chemical substance, up to three actors and five to six locations nobody else gets to enter. The group investigates together, an app guides you along the trail, decisions are made at the table.

6 vs 6

Two teams, twelve people

The whole department: two teams of six, the same case, a staggered start.

Two teams work the same case with a staggered start, so they do not get in each other’s way. In the end it is clear who was faster and who drew the right conclusions - the resolution is done by both teams together.

Dates Monday to Sunday between 9:00 and 20:30. For more than twelve people we spread the group over several slots on one day - tell us the total number and we build the schedule.

What becomes visible in 90 minutes.

A group under pressure reveals more about itself in an hour and a half than in a whole off-site day. Not because anyone is being tested, but because nobody has time to think about how they want to come across.

  • Who keeps the overview when three leads are open at once.
  • Who takes responsibility without anyone having assigned it.
  • Who listens - and who had the information but did not pass it on.
  • How the group decides when time runs short and nobody is certain.
  • How a mistake is handled once it comes to light.

A psychologist comes along - and takes notes.

On request, a psychologist accompanies the group through the entire mission. He does not play and does not intervene, he observes. Afterwards, every participant receives a written report on how they worked under pressure, which role they took on in the team and where their strengths lie.

Behaviour under pressure

How someone reacts when time runs short, the trail goes cold or an actor appears unexpectedly.

Role in the team

Which role someone takes on of their own accord - leading, structuring, mediating, executing, questioning.

Communication

Whether information is passed on or held back, how people listen, how disagreement is handled.

Decisions

How decisions are made under uncertainty: fast or deliberate, alone or together, and how people stand by a decision once taken.

Dealing with mistakes

What happens when the group was on the wrong track - correction, blame or simply pressing on.

Strengths and recommendations

To finish, for each participant: what carried well and what is worth working on - in plain language, without diagnoses.

“At first I was sceptical whether I could get into it, but we had so much fun as a team. It really brought our department together.”

From enquiry to report.

  1. Enquiry

You send us your group size, preferred date and whether you want the psychological observation. Answer usually the same day.

  2. Quote

You receive a quote with all costs, the schedule and the meeting point.

  3. Briefing

On the day, everything starts at a secret location with the briefing: assignment, rules, equipment. From here on, the clock is running.

  4. The mission

60 to 90 minutes through the city centre. Up to three actors, five to six locations, an app as your guide. With 6 vs 6, the second team starts staggered.

  5. Resolution

At the end, the case is resolved, together and without rush. Who has won is settled then - and why.

  6. Report

Only with the observation booked: each participant receives their personal report within a week.

The party that’s still on everyone’s lips in spring.

Investigate before dinner, then settle in for the evening: the mission takes 60 to 90 minutes and slots in before any restaurant. December dates are taken early, because only one group plays per slot.

  • Works for every department - nobody needs any skills or has to perform.
  • Plenty to talk about all evening: every group has lived through its own story.
  • In almost any weather - part of the mission runs indoors.

Frequently asked questions.

Something missing? Write to us - we usually answer the same day.

Ask a question
How many people can play?

One team plays with six. Twelve people play as 6 vs 6, which runs on request. Larger workforces are split across several slots on one day - tell us the total number and we build the schedule.

When are dates available?

Monday to Sunday, with start times between 9:00 and 20:30. In the morning as part of an off-site day, in the evening as a company party - both work.

Does anyone have to act?

No. The acting is done by our actors. Your people investigate, ask questions, decide - nothing more. Nobody has to perform in front of the group.

Do we need experience or fitness?

No. It is about attention and coordination, not speed. The routes are in the city centre and can be walked at a normal pace. If someone in your group has trouble walking, tell us beforehand - we plan the route accordingly.

Who receives the psychologist’s report?

First the participant - everyone gets their own report. Taking part in the observation is voluntary, everyone agrees in writing beforehand, and anyone who prefers not to plays without being observed. What the company receives beyond that is agreed before the date and disclosed to the group. Without that consent, not a single page goes to the company.

What does the psychological observation cost?

It is a surcharge on the booked package and depends on group size and the scope of the report. Send us the number of participants and you will find the amount in your quote.

What about bad weather?

We play in almost any weather - part of the mission takes place indoors anyway. Weatherproof clothing is enough. In case of severe weather we get in touch and move the date.

Does the mission also run in English?

On request. Tell us in your enquiry which language your group needs, and we plan the cast accordingly.

When will your team investigate?

Send us your group size, preferred date and whether you want the psychological observation. You will receive a quote with all costs and the schedule - usually the same day.
